A genuine British cheese superstar, Tunworth can hold its own against anything France has to offer, this soft mould-ripened cheese has been named Supreme Champion at the British Cheese Awards twice since it was first made in 2005. It is loved by cheese aficionados for its thin wrinkled rind and sweet flavour, which takes in vegetal notes.
Cornish Yarg - Cows' Milk, 200g
A nettle wrapped semi hard cheese made from grass rich Cornish milk, this Yarg consistently wins top international awards. A delicate, yoghurty cheese, wrapped in nettle leaves, it has a wonderfully fluffy textured centre with delicious lactic flavours and a buttery, creamy breakdown under the slightly earthy edible rind.
Quicke's Vintage Clothbound Cheddar - Cows' Milk, 200g
In our opinion, this is the best cheddar in the country. Handcrafted using heritage starters by expert cheesemakers, this exquisite cheddar is clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 24 months, making it the worlds oldest naturally matured cheddar. A rich, intense cheese with huge depth of flavour, from umami to buttery, to salted caramel.
