  • Our Properly Free Range chicken thighs on the bone are the perfect ingredient for a long slow cook. With a little time the simple ingredient of chicken thighs can be turned into something comforting and delicious. 

    With a distinctive depth of flavour that comes from the healthy and happy life of our chicken, these properly free range chicken thighs provide you with serious nutritional value as well as a wonderful texture.

    Each chicken thigh weighs approximately 150g

  • Free Range Chicken

  • Preheat your oven to 180C.

    Take a good-sized roasting dish and place the thighs snugly within. 

    Season the skin and flesh of the thighs and place into the oven. Roast for 35-40 minutes. 

    Alternatively our chicken thighs on the bone can be slow cooked, by submerging them into stock and cooking at 150C for at least an hour. 

  • All of our meat is delivered frozen ready to pop straight into your freezer, once defrosted these can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Keeping the bone in is ideal for a long, slow cook, adding flavour and helping the meat stay succulent. Thighs are the most flavoursome part of the bird, made up of rich meat, fine collagen and a little fat, with a slightly gamey depth.

  • Season and roast them at 180C for 35 to 40 minutes, or slow-cook them submerged in stock at 150C for at least an hour. They suit comforting one-pot dishes where a little time turns them into something tender and delicious.

  • Our properly free range chickens are slowly reared to natural maturity at 12 weeks, foraging on pasture. This is much longer than most free range birds, giving the thighs their distinctive depth of flavour and texture.
