  • Coley fish is a fantastic and sustainable alternative to traditional white fish like cod or haddock. With its mild, flaky texture, Coley fillet offers a light and delicious option for various dishes, from pan-frying to baking. This fish, part of the cod family, is typically found along the rocky southwest coast of the UK, where it thrives in abundance. Its thick, white line and deep coal-coloured skin make it easy to identify.

Perfect for any meal, Coley fillets can be grilled, baked, or pan-fried and are great in dishes like fish tacos, pies, or simple salads. Their mild, flaky texture pairs well with citrus, herbs, or creamy sauces, allowing you to create a quick, easy meal or a more elaborate dish. Whatever the occasion, Coley fish adapts to your cooking style, offering endless delicious options.

  • Our cooking times are just a guide. Your fish may vary in thickness, it may be warmer or cooler when it hits the pan, your oven or hob may behave differently to ours. Use our instructions as a guide, but deploy your senses too; look, prod, listen and smell while you cook. After all, cookery should provide us pleasure as well as nourishment.

    Pan fried

    Best cooked from defrosted.
Place the fish skin-side down into a hot non-stick pan with hot oil and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes. Turn and cook for a further 2-3 minutes ensuring it is piping hot.

  • All our fish is caught at its best and blast frozen at the quayside.

Once defrosted it will be as fresh as the day it was landed. Once thawed, store it in the fridge and enjoy it within the next 2-3 days as you would with fresh fish.
